Down by the Salley Gardens
在那青色的柳园里，
我和我心爱的人儿相遇；
她从此处轻轻走过，
娇小的双足雪白生辉。
她嘱咐我要轻松相爱，
就像这树枝会吐出新翠；
可惜我曾经年轻无知，
任她的话儿与风吹。
在那河畔的旷野上，
我和我心爱的人儿并肩依偎；
我微微倾斜的肩膀，
她那洁白的小手令人沉醉。
她嘱咐我要平静生活，
一如这河堰上青草把季节跟随；
可惜我曾经年轻无知，
如今只得满面泪水。
Down by the Salley Gardens，
My love and I did meet；
She passed the Salley Gardens，
With little snow-white feet.
She bid me take love easy，
As the leaves grow on the tree；
But I， being young and foolish，
With her did not agree.
In a field by the river，
My love and I did stand；
And on my leaning shoulder，
She laid her snow-white hand.
She bid me take life easy，
As the grass grows on the weirs；
But I was young and foolish，
And now am full of tears.
