reel candle flame looks dim thro the gauze canopy
in the middle age,i listened to raining in a possenger boat
the river'swide and clouds hung low
a stray wild goose cried in the west wind
now i listen to raining under a monk's roof
hair on my temples already turns grayish
woe,joy,parting,meeting,all must be unemotional
just let the rain before the steps

白话文：
那时年少，我站在窗前看雨飘落听雨唱歌。
红烛摇曳，轻纱摆动，万物好朦胧。
时间匆匆，异乡客船，恰好雨又落，风开始凛冽把江面吹得开阔，抬头望去却只见落群的孤雁与低压的云朵。 我该去向何处？
如今我两鬓斑白有简单的生活，也学起当年模样。
屋檐下望那雨滴出神，仿佛一切只是昨日，岁月如歌。
四十年，五十年，我与你相识，一路上艰辛加寂寞。
什么也不说，只任这雨水和我的泪珠暗暗流落。
